~ Salvation ~
Have you ever received Jesus Christ as your personal Savior? Do you want the joy of the Lord that you have seen in other Christians? Are you a Christian but doubt your salvation? Securing eternal life with Jesus Christ is as simple as ABC...
ADMIT - Admit to God that you are a sinner. Luke 13:3 says "I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish". Repentance in the Bible always means a change of mind. If you have never understood you are a sinner, you must change your mind to recognize your sinful condition before God. In addition, (regardless of what you may have believed about salvation in the past) you must also change your mind to believe that you can receive salvation only by grace through faith in Jesus Christ alone, without any good works (Eph. 2:8-9). Romans 3:23 says: "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;" and Romans 6:23 follows with the hard consequences for that sin, which is both physical death and eternal death in Hell (Rev. 20:15). Romans 6:23 tells us: "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." As you can see, with that consequence, the verse also gives the solution, which is Jesus Christ. The gift of eternal life is freely offered to everyone and all you have to do is receive it by placing your faith in Jesus Christ (John 1:12).
BELIEVE - Believe that Jesus is God's only begotten Son, that He died on the cross for your sins, was buried, and rose again the third day (1 Cor 15:3-4). John 3:16 tells us: "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." God does not want anyone to perish. John 14:6 tells us "Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me." There is no other way to get to heaven. Acts 4:12 says "Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved." Any person who fails to believe on Jesus Christ as Savior will burn in the lake of fire forever but that is not God's will for us (2 Peter 3:9). Romans 5:8 tells us "But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." I urge you to believe on Jesus Christ and the love He showed us by His death on the cross. Ephesians 2:8-9 "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast." Belief on any other name will not save your soul and neither will your good works. John 1:11-13 says "He came unto his own, and his own received him not. But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God."
CONFESS - Confess your faith in Jesus Christ as your personal Saviour. You must trust Jesus Christ by faith alone and call on Him in order to receive God's gift of forgiveness from all your sins. Romans 10:9-11 tell us "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved."
So now what? Well, the best thing to do, if you agree with the scriptures above, is to bow your head in prayer and call upon the name of the Lord. The prayer can be as simple as:
"Lord Jesus, I know that I'm a sinner and am lost in my sins. I know I cannot save myself. Lord Jesus, I believe You came down to this earth as the Son of God, died on the cross and rose again the third day. I believe that You did this to pay for all my sins. I am placing my complete trust in You to save me. Right now, the best I know how, I'm asking you to please forgive my sins and save my soul. Thank You for Your free gift of salvation. In Jesus Name, Amen."
If you have truly prayed this and believe in your heart, then, according to the scriptures, you have received everlasting life and are eternally secure. Hebrews 13:5b says "I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee." Please feel free to contact us with any questions, comments or to share in your newfound joy in Jesus Christ.
